About the Author

Anita grew up with freedom to roam, dusty dirt roads, and horses. The country is where she fell in love with art and writing. But, despite the spacious and peaceful surroundings, life wasn't always bright and sunny for Anita. Decades later, she's emerged from the darkness to tell her story of a traumatic childhood and her battle with alcoholism.

 

Anita hopes her story will help shatter the stigma of addiction. Today, she has twenty-five miraculous sober years. She is truly thankful to God for every sober breath. The peaceful surroundings of country life are still home to Anita, her husband, and her son. She enjoys nature, cuddles from her giant fluffy cat, and two adorable mutts.
